Please Help... I can't do this alone

<p>Good morning fellas from College Confidential.</p>

<p>I'm asking you this because I'm desperate. I'm only 3 weeks left to do the SAT on November 3, but I'm afraid I might get a pretty low score (less than 1700).</p>

<p>Can anyone give me an advice on how to study and prepare, especially for the SAT Essay?
The problem is, I'm an international student.
I still have some blemishes in my writing, but I think I'm improving a little bit, or maybe not.
I'm lacking study material because I am not rich. I'm from El Salvador and my economic level here is not as high as many American students :(
I can't afford to pay the online courses which cost more than $300 or can't afford to go to particular classes worth more than $1000...
Trust me, if I had the money I would use ALL resources available to get a really good SAT score.</p>

<p>My dream has always been to go and study in the United States.
I'm very interested in going and study in Santa Clara University, in California, or in any other Californian University, since I have an aunt over there.
But the problem is I need to get a 2000+ more on SAT since if I do, I could apply for grants and scholarships, maybe even a full or 75% scholarship.
I really need this and trust me I've been doing effort. Maybe not a lot, but I am with what I have.
Right now I'm lacking practice tests and study material.
I already used everything I have and I don't know what else to do.
I'm also on grockit.com but I have few questions left, and I want to use them wisely.</p>

<p>And on the SAT Essay, I'm very poor over there. You can see my topic: Can</a> you rate my SAT Essay? - Yahoo! Answers
This was my first SAT essay, and a person commented and said the most I could have gotten would have been 5/12... VERY low. And I know she told the truth.. I don't like my essay, but I don't know how to improve.. I really don't :(</p>

<p>So please. I'm begging anyone of you. I really wish to study in the US. I really do, but the problem is.. I'm poor and lacking intelligence.
I hope somene replies, and if you don't feel comfortable answering here, this is my email:</p>

<p>Thank you and I wish you a very ncie week.</p>

<p>*By the way, in 3 practice tests I've done, my SAT score ranges from 1600-1800.
I'm pretty stupid...
And my GPA in my high school years is of 3.8</p>

<p>mind breaking down ur 1700? as for math, all there is is practice and careful reading. no one else will tell u any different, u just need to work ur ass off. as for reading, practice is crucial, but so is diligent note taking and approaching questions correctly. think from the perspective of the test taker, think, “what do they want me to say?”. For vocab, STUDY,spend at least half an hour a day just learning vocab, they are free points. As for writing, try to get some sat comprehensive book, they will outline the majority of the grammar concepts outlined on the sat and then PRACTICE. gl mate</p>

<p>Okay mate!!
Thanks, I’ll try to do what you say.</p>

<p>Right now I’m concerned about Reading and the SAT essay, since on writng I’m okay and on Math I’m good.</p>

<p>I just hope to get 1900 or more -_-</p>

<p>Anyways, thanks.</p>
