i was having hearing problems that originated during freshman year (last year). i still had some left so i could hear a bit, even without a hearing aid.

now woke up today and the whole world was silent. i don't know what to do. i have 2 midterms today..how am i supposed to go to class and take them?

why does this stuff always happen to me.......................

Email your prof and go to the doctor (or ER if you have no other options). Have the doctor write a note explaining what is going on, the school will make accommodations for you.

Sorry you’re having this scary problem. Go see doctors and have the situation thoroughly checked out and treated. Take a medical leave of absence if you have to.

You just so happen to go deaf on the day of 2 midterms (seems a bit fishy)? Do you have high blood pressure or something and the tests just aggravated it to the point of causing deafness?

As said above, get a doctor’s note. And as also said above, this isn’t something that is going to be sorted out in a day or two so you might need a leave of absence (there’s paperwork involved for this to indicate that you’re not taking a vacation or dropping out).

On the bright side, you don’t have to worry about noises while studying? OK I’ll leave.

i studied all week for them. i didn’t want to put them off any longer and just decided to finish it. i don’t give a flying rat’s a$$ how I did on them.

i’m going to the doctor later today or tomorrow. sigh.

If you **** up that badly on the exams, you can ask a doctor for a note confirming that you lost your hearing on the day and talk to the professors. I’m sure it’ll be fine.
