How bad is dropping a class senior year? I'm currently taking 5 AP classes, and want to drop AP Calculus because I'm not doing well =(

Well, that depends. Where are you applying? If it’s a LAC, it probably won’t be as bad as if it were, say, MIT, lol. And what major are you considering? If it’s an engineering major, it might look bad, but if its an English major, it probably won’t matter.

Also, what exactly do you mean by doing bad? If you mean you got a B, then don’t drop it. But if you’re absolutely failing and don’t understand anything, then go ahead and drop it. To me at least, I think colleges will respect that you understand your own limitations.

Currently have a C in AP Calculus and worried I might get a D.

I plan on majoring in business. I am taking AP Statistics right now as well so I still have a math class.

I’ve already applied to 6 UCs and am applying to various business schools with some other schools: UoTexas (McCombs), BC (Carroll), Carnegie Mellon (Tepper), Cornell (ILR), and Claremont Mckenna

Please does anybody know? =( ultra sad face

Have you tried tutoring? Exhaust all other options, and talk to your teacher first.

suck it up and apply yourself. Stay in the class.
