I am a freshman in high school, I know, I shouldn’t be on here. But I have been going through depression and anxiety because of this. Are my freshman year grades good enough to still get into good schools like UCLA, Illinois, UNC, and UWashington? Keep in mind my school is #1 in my state and very rigorous.

Dude freshman year grades aren’t even looked at for UC admissions. They aren’t even that bad anyways… looks like around a 3.6/7 out of 4 to me. You’ll be fine.

Does that mean there is still a possibility? Next year is a fresh start for me, and I’m ready to kill it! :smiley:

You’ve got plenty of time! You’re fine for UCs if you keep your grades up (and as @beepybeetle said, frosh grades don’t matter for UCs). Please don’t be too anxious and keep doing whatever ECs you enjoy. :slight_smile:
