So I had two teachers write me a letter of recommendation, a biology teacher and a math teacher, and I requested to my guidance office that I wanted my biology teacher’s LOR to be sent to ND. However, I just found out by looking at my common app form that my school sent my math teacher’s LOR and school doesn’t resume from winter break until January 4th, while the deadline to apply to ND is January 1. Since my school uses Naviance, I don’t have control over which letters of recommendation get sent to which college, only my school does. Are colleges generally okay with LORs getting sent a few days after their deadline, as long as the application is submitted before? I’m pretty sure my biology teacher knows me better, which is why I want to get it switched. Notre Dame’s website does not address this kind of issue.
Never mind everyone, I sent an email to ND and interestingly, their automatic email stated that supplemental documents are due mid-January. I guess my question is answered then!

NO NO NO NO. That is a part of the application and needs to be submitted by the deadline. At least for most schools
@6Jesus Idk someone no cc said they got an email saying the writing supplement is also due mid-January, but idk. I’m submitting mine today or tomorrow just in case

@Fiona1997 Other CC members have posted screenshots of an email saying that only the application is due tomorrow, and the writing supplement is due mid-January. You may have misread something. Thanks for the warning though!
@gp2016 yeah I mean the first part of the app is due in 10 mins.
@Fiona1997 Still not sure about that, because the common app does state that deadlines take place at 11:59 pm of the listed date. I definitely wouldn’t wait for the last minute, but I think it’s due tomorrow 11:59.
@gq2016 my parents were so nervous… they have been texting me about the deadline for days! They told me it is due 15 mins ago… but anyway I submitted everything last night! happy new year!
