I live in Western Massachusetts and am choosing between these colleges:
Western New England University
Springfield College
Westfield State University.
Elms College
American International College
Hampshire College
I have the GPA to get into UMASS Amherst but I hate big schools. I was also thinking of University of Hartford but that is a 1 hour drive from where I live and I want to commute in order to save money. Also, can you help me decide on my major? I am deciding between Healthcare management or Pharmaceutical Business? I may consider other majors but these are my top 2. Thank you for your time.
I might be misunderstanding you but you’ve not been accepted into any of these schools yet, correct? I suggest you see which schools have the best programs for either of your possible majors and apply to those. The only schools I know a little about are Hampshire and Springfield and I don’t think Hampshire has anything that would correlate to either major. Springfield might but I believe it’s more of a recreational/service oriented program.
Hampshire is roughly as selective as U Mass-Amherst, so it’s your best academic bet, followed by Western New England U, a notch below. Westfield State is probably your least expensive.
For those career fields, you could study any of the life sciences (incl. neuroscience), chemistry, psychology, business, etc.
