Please help me choose!! Berkeley or Vandy

<p>I got accepted to both. Vandy gave me a lot of grant and free money so it's very "cheap." I applied for biomedical engineering there. Berkeley, on the other hand, is out-of-state for me. However, I did received some gift aid and is also a finanical possibility. I applied for material science there. I know that Berkeley is much more renowned than Vandy in the field of engineering, but does that make life and studies any harder at Berkeley? </p>

<p>I was accepted to both, with merit aid both at Vandy and at Berkeley. I chose Vandy and do not regret it.</p>

<p>Hi, I know that Vandy's profs are great. However, are there much research opportunities in biomed/chemistry? If so, is there any competition for the spots? Thanks.</p>
