Please help me choose between Ga Tech, Tulane, & NYU

I am in a huge quandary concerning college. Anyone have any insight on these particular colleges?

Georgia Tech:
-Would be a "Science, Tech, and Culture" Major
-Free tuition (Georgia resident)
-I am NOT a math person at all
-1 hour away from home
-Cramped dorms, hard classes, not my favorite school
-Lots of extra money left over

Tulane:
-Communications major
-$18,000/yr renewable scholarship, but still expensive
-New Orleans = not the best place at the moment
-Not a whole lot of opportunity in New Orleans

NYU:
-Communications major
-Top, top, top choice
-$100,000 in loans to attend
-No extra money for "fun" things, etc.
-Love NYC, love the people (fit right in, etc.)
-Lots of opportunity

Secret Option D:
-Defer NYU enrollment for a year, work full time, so I only have to take out an $80,000 loan or so (depending what kind of job I can find)

Do you have any APs that NYU would give credit for? Secret Option D may work if you can graduate in three or three and a half years, cutting out a lot of loan. Many people do not realize that if you come in with some credits, and choose your courses wisely so that they all count and you never drop courses, it is quite easy to finish in less than four years. They often recommend that you take fewer courses after sophomore year, but if you can handle a bigger load- you will graduate sooner with less expense.

I'm a Commuication major at Tulane and New Orleans is THE best place in the world and there's tons of job opportunities here (they're hiring for $12 an hour at Burger King right now[!] Real jobs are even better).

Goto NYU and have some fun. However, you must really love the urban scene.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I'll have taken 7 AP exams upon graduation; I got a 4 on Lang/Comp and a 5 on US History, so I guess those could help a bit. That's a good idea!

Ecliptica, thanks for the input from a Comm major. I'm driving to New Orleans tomorrow and staying a few days for a visit, so I'll definitely get a feel for the city. I'm just afraid it may be like Atlanta where it's dead and really just a bunch of offices; opportunity, yes, but nothing EXCITING. But Tulane is #2 on my list :)
