Please help me choose between Princeton, Duke, Yale, Columbia, Cornell!!!!!

ACT Score: 32
Math Level 2: 790
Physics: To come soon.
International Student

Major: COMPUTER ENGINEERING

I only have one option left, Please help me choose
Parameters:
1) Don't care about cost
2) The value of that degree in that university
3) Social life/parties,
4) Income/Placements
5) Teachers
6) Rank
7) Better chance for me to get in
Please help me choose the best college out of all these.

Based on rank, placements, value, and teachers, Princeton is the top most in Computer Engg.

Your ACT isn’t much. If you can write phenomenal recomms, you may have a shot at Princeton.

Columbia and Cornell would come in the second tier in the level of prestige.

Yale and Duke come in the third tier.

All the above colleges are amazing to go to. Social Life/Parties are there at every college. It depends on how much you are willing to participate (P.S. You won’t have much time for partying at any of these universities, especially if you’re looking for good placements).

Don’t be ridiculous: a) you ought to care about cost because the colleges will, and b) NO ONE can tell your chances of getting into schools of this caliber. You take your chances like everyone else, and you should be proud and very lucky to get into any of them.

You can’t choose a college until you are accepted to it!

I would not worry about this; the colleges will help you make the decision. Once you get your acceptances, fell free to ask again.

Assuming you mean you have one more school left to apply to, for whatever reason, I’d think given your parameters, your best use of that slot would be to Cornell. You’d probably be burning you application slot at he other schools with little chance of acceptance. Cornell isn’t that great a shot either, but it’s probably your highest odds.

Thanks for all the replies, but my dad is giving me a chance to apply one universitiy left out of all these 5 universities.
So in that attitude, what is the ONE university i should apply to.
UPDATE: I have amazing recommendation, essays, and extra colliculars. Also In the university i hope to have chance to build my ideas or atleast protypes with ease and availability of materials.

I’m guessing he goes to one of the international high schools that limits the number of colleges students can apply to. They only get like 6 or so, I believe, in some schools. So he’s asking which of those schools he should choose to apply to.

OP: it might help if you told us your GPA and which other schools you’ve applied to.

In their own eyes, so does every student. Admissions will have a different opinion. You need to set aside your own ego and take a hard, critical look at yourself and your chances at each and every school. Since you are limited in how many you can apply to, pick the one that you have the greatest chance at. Or, depending on what your other schools were, even another school that will offer greater chances at getting in but a fine education and access to the resources you want. For example, for Computer Engineering, UIUC, Michigan, and GT are all higher ranked than the schools you list and with your stats, you would have a better chance of getting in. Cornell comes in right after them and would probably be the school you’d have the best shot at, so again, I repeat my original rec - Cornell if you are going to stick to your original list.

@MrMom62‌: Thing is, I dont have subscription so the list ends at UT Austin. Do you have or atleast know the universities after UT Austin ?

I have a feeling that “Princeton, Duke, Yale, Columbia, Cornell!!!” will make the decision for you…

I don’t have access to the US News list, but this one isn’t all that different. Might prove useful:

If you haven’t done so already, you should consider applying to Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
