Please help me choose between two essay topics?

Sorry, I had posted something like this before, but now I am deciding between two different essay topics. The first one (if any of you had seen my first post, this will look familiar) is about my grandfather, who stressed the importance of education because he did not receive much of it himself and taught me Chinese customs, as well as strong morals. He and I have a odd pinky toe (which is my introduction and conclusion) and from that i feel connected to him in a personal way.

The second one, the more recent one, is about my personal struggle with scoliosis (curvature of the spine). I didnt worry about it much at first, but as I grew throughout puberty, the curve got worse and worse. Now its at 40ish degrees, a couple degrees away from looking at surgery. It is a serious part of my life and because of it, I want to have a career of building braces for scoliosis patients, and also give them comfort and assurance that it's okay to have it, because at times i felt very insecure of it.

I realize it's pretty late into admissions process and I need to be submitting them in soon, but I am having a super hard time trying to decide on the best essay topic for me. I don't feel like my application is as top notch as it could be, so i want my essay to the best it can. I have also written the first two out if any of you want to read them and critique!

Thank you soo much!

Also i’m willing to read anyone else’s essay in return!!

I’d go with the latter, because it is distinctive and sheds light on your career goals, and because “my parent/grandparent influenced me and taught me the importance of education” is a very tired topic.

@jpheys‌ thank you very much! that is a good point, i don’t want my essay to be super generic and familiar

I would choose the scoliosis paper only because it relates so well to your career objective.

@TranquilMind‌ thank you too! haha i guess i’ll work on that one more. would either you or @jpheys‌ be able to read and critique it? i think i’m having a little trouble in the conclusion

Yes, I have a few other essays in the queue first but should be able to get to yours later today. You can send it whenever you’re ready (with the prompt, please).

@jpheys‌ thanks so much!! i’ll send it now, but please read it whenever you have time. I really appreciate it :)
