I am transferring to UT this fall. I will have completed 61 credit by the end of this summer after finishing calc 2 and calc 3. So I will be done with the core curriculum. I am planning to take BIO 325 (Genetic Biology) and CH 301 (Intro to Chemistry). I don't plan to take physics at the same time. It will be my first semester at UT and I don't want to overload myself. So I am really having trouble finding others to take. Does anyone have any suggestion? BTW my major is Biology.

For Biology I would recommend taking two or three classes for your major with two easy electives. If you have time then Information in Cyberspace (i312) is a good course to take. i312 doesn’t matter who you take it and its online based, the only thing is that it takes a few hours to complete so if you have a busy, tight schedule don’t take it. Its also an easy A, and you get a lot of extra credits.

I’ll look into other classes but if you could give me an idea of what you plan on taking then I can help you out even more.

Did you check this? http://cns.utexas.edu/images/stories/BA.Bio.08-10.pdf
It looks like Bio majors have 9 different choices for specialization [Degree Plans in Active Catalogs](http://cns.utexas.edu/academics/degrees-majors/current-degree-checklists)

I did check into it. Some of them require completion of BIO 325. I probably will take BIO205L and a foreign language in addition to BIO 325 and CH301. It’s kind of hard to plan for it since lots of sessions are closed or waitlisted. Thanks for the help.

Take a look at C C 306M: Intro to Medical and Scientific Terminology.

Here are some previous evaluations of the course:

COURSE: CC 306M PROFESSOR: Doig
. Nice professor. Class is repetitive but easy – lots of handouts. Quizzes during class. Easy A, light workload. Great class for hospital volunteers.
. This class is a joke. The quizzes in this class are the exactly the same each semester. All Doig does in class is read off of a slip of paper with words and scrambled definitions that he passes out. Since not many people see the point in going to class, Doig makes pop quizzes 10% of your grade. The quizzes are all MC. The quizzes are pretty much 80% pure definitions each mostly in one or two words. The rest of the quiz is spelling (still multiple choice) and knowing abbreviations. One of the easiest A’s at UT in my opinion.
. Very nice prof, a memorization class, 6 out of 7 in class quizzes every other week over 2 chapters from the text, 2 out of 3 pop quizzes given on random Fridays throughout semester, not necessary to go to class but may be helpful for extra credit questions on quizzes, no final.

This is great. I will look into it. Thank you very much.
