Hey,
I have been accepted to a bunch of colleges; however, I cant decide what college to attend. I really want to attend a large and exciting college that is still somewhat prestigious. Can I get any advise?
I have been accepted to…
Purdue University
University of Arizona
University of Kentucky
Indiana University
Depaul University
Arizona State University
Is there a cost difference? Does the cost matter to you and your family? What do you plan to study? Where do you live and is being near home important to you? Where do you want to work/live after you graduate? What is it you are looking for in a school - in order of priority? Are you weather sensitive? Anything else that would influence why something might or might not be a good fit for you?
Each of those schools is perfect for the right person. Without knowing more about you, it’s hard to recommend which is the best fit.
Hey everybody, sorry for not giving more info. I live in Indiana, so IU and Purdue would be in state for me. My parents would prefer if I stayed in state for financial reasons; however, they said I could attend an out of state school if i really want to. I am not sure if I want to stay in Indiana (I find the location of Purdue and IU to be a little dull for my taste since I am used to living in big cities.) I am considering Kentucky and depaul because they are close by. I am also considering Arizona schools since i Have family that live there. Also I used to live there. Lastly I am planning on becoming a financial adviser. Thanks!
I you want urban, then go for DePaul or UK. Lexington is a very nice town, very close to Louisville.
I think UK will probably be your cheapest OOS option, too - isn’t there a reciprocity agreement with Indiana, if you have a minimum GPA?
DePaul is something of a commuter school, though, so you may have a more “traditional” college campus and town experience at UK and the others. DePaul is in a fantastic neighborhood, though, Lincoln Park in Chicago.
There will be less of a sports culture, there, too - for college sports anyway.
