Please help me decide!!!

I am trying to decide between Penn State UP or UDel. Undecided major. Accepted to PSU Smeal business, undecided with $6000/year merit for 4 years...UDel accepted me general undecided no merit $. Tuition is basically the same, PSU being less now because of scholarship. Think I want a career in Fashion marketing.... UDel has a great fashion program, PSU has marketing but the business school is top notch and recruiting is amazing from what I hear... UDel is only 2 hours away, PSU is 4... Could really use advice... Visited and loved both.

What is your in-state university…

If not, I would take the money…but your transportation cost will be higher at Penn State.

Rutgers…accepted to Rutgers Business, but after visiting it didn’t compare to the other two schools…I didn’t like the multiple campuses and bus hopping… It was just ok…academically I am sure it is great, but it’s not for me. I am hearing that PSU is the better investment because of job placement, and again, the scholarship actually makes it less than UDel… And yes, transportation cost is greater at PSU, but I don’t think it’s that much concern to be a major factor… I think it’s the fashion program that has me somewhat excited at UDel, but if I change my mind, did I give up a better opportunity at PSU?

Which is more important in Fashion Marketing–a degree in fashion or in business/marketing? My “uneducated” guess would be that you would be better off majoring in Fashion at UDel with a minor in Marketing or Business. But I don’t think Penn State would be a bad choice either!

Thanks WaitingInCPA. I guess there are no guarantees for future employment… The practical side of me says put the money into a Penn State business degree…just wish PSU had Fashion.

If you were my student, Smeal FTW

Not to throw a wrinkle into things, but doesn’t Drexel have a Fashion program? Plus as a co-op school you would graduate with real work experience too.

Yes, you are right. But I want the BIG school college experience, with football and Greek LIfe, etc…

Its too late to think about Drexel now unless the OP wants to take 1 gap year.

"I want the BIG school college experience, with football and Greek LIfe, etc… "

Thats a description of all the Big 10 and Big 12 schools…

I recommend Penn State since your only 2 options are UDel and Penn State

In my opinion, PS-UP is the better school. Plus with a scholarship, and acceptance to Smeal, I think the best choice is PSU

Collegeeager, I appreciate your opinion. And my parents agree with you!

Oh, and XtremePower, thanks for your insight, too!

Definitely Penn State.

Wow, that’s an eye opener. Thanks.

Just wanted to thank everyone who replied. After going to both schools again, I decided on Penn State! So excited!!!

You will love it!

I’m stuck between Loyola, UD, Penn State, and Fordham I have no idea what to chose!
