hey...I'm trying to decide between Tufts and Bryn Mawr..
I've visited both schools and I stayed overnight at Bryn Mawr..
I didn't really get to know Tufts PEOPLE since there wasn't that much time to intermingle with students...
well, at Bryn Mawr I liked the fact that it was all girls school...they looked more not-concerned with looks?? and free,,,I guess??
and I loved the weather and the campus...and the dorms were bigger than my own room.
People were unbelievably nice...up to the point that I felt I was too cynical to attend Bryn Mawr
At tufts, I really liked the academics..and I really liked the biology professor..
Everyone was telling me how different Tufts is from Bryn Mawr..
I've heard good things and bad things about Tufts...
good things were, obviously that people are smart, professors are nice..blahblah
but some people seemed to have this view that Tufts students are "preppy", and Tufts guys were "popular lacross players when they were at highschool."
I don't play sports, I'm not a cheerleader type, I drink but my friends don't...
well....Please tell me more about Tufts....Help!!
Thanks~

I'm in the same position as you, except I'm choosing between Tufts and Barnard.
I have no idea what the hell to do.
Someone help us, please?

I applied to Tufts edII and got in so they made the decision easy for me. I can't imagine trying to decide between schools but it seems to depend on what you're interested in and what makes you feel at home.

To jskim, none of the guys I saw at Tufts seemed like they had been preppy lacrose players, there were a handful of kids like that but for the most part people seemed very unique and quite the opposite of the cookie cutter abercrombie catalogue deal. I found the people to be friendly and interesting to talk to.

To ioson, Tufts has a campus, Barnard doesn't though NYC is an amazing place to live. I guess it depends on whether you're looking for a place with a sense of college campus life.

I hope that helps. Best of luck! If all else fails flip a coin.

Flip a coin, and, if you are gut-level disappointed, go the other route.

I am going to Tufts next year and I am definitely not a preppy lacrosse player, so....

However, they do exist on campus.

I highly recommend flipping a coin, it worked for me! I'm a happy sophomore here at Tufts.

Just to correct, Barnard does have a campus, with lawns and gates and all that. I think you may be thinking of NYU.

If you want preppy lacrosse players, I can steer you towards some other schools... but most of my Tufts friends are guys, and I don't think any of them played Lacrosse in high school. Track, drama, karate, football... no lacrosse.

don't really see whats so wrong with preppy lacrosse player guys...haha

honestly, dont know what to tell ya girls, like charcoalorchid i applied ED and would never be able to decide between schools if i had to. good luck!
