I live in new york, and i am trying to stay relatively close to home, but i've been realizing that i might just have to expand my established borders.
I want to major in business which eliminates many of the small liberal schools found on the east coast.
the college should also be coeducational
So far the only schools that really work have been skidmore and u penn, the former being more of a safety and the latter being a definite reach.
what schools work????
please help!!!

How about Pace University? Pretty decent school for business, not too far from Manhattan.

What about one of the SUNYs?

Bucknell and Lafayette have business.

Holy Cross

how bout scores? there are a lot of business schools on the east coast…and size would help too.

For a LAC w/business, agree with Bucknell and Holy Cross suggestions and also suggest Wake Forest.

thanks!
i looked those up and bucknell seems like a really good safety/low target
i’m not really interested in a school with a strong religious affiliation,
as far as my scores…i got a 2220 on my SATs, but i don’t think my grade point average is as impressive as my SATs, (92.9%)
and in terms of the size of the school, i don’t have a huge preference, i guess no smaller than 1500.
any other ideas?

I thought Holy Cross only had accounting, not the full range of “business.” I don’t see “business” here: http://www.holycross.edu/academics/

You might be overestimating the role of religion at some of the “religious” schools. Yeah, you might have to take a couple theology classes (which can be more philosophical or historical than religious), but that’s about it. Nobody–and I mean NOBODY–is going to force religion on you at places like Boston College, Georgetown, and Villanova (all Catholic schools with good business programs).
