<p>Well, I am not an admissions officer, so I dont know how they balance upbringing, income, social situation, minority status WITH SATs. On first glance, your SAT’s are low for Fordham and NYU. It never hurts to try. Your grades indicate you perhaps can do the work. So maybe that helps.</p>
<p>I would REALLY focus on match and safety schools and look HARD at schools with SAT scores like yours. Siena is one such school. HEOP is a New York State program. So look at schools in New York State primarily. St. Johns, Siena, Canisius, Syracuse, SUNY schools, CUNY schools, etc.</p>
<p>It doesnt hurt to try to reach, but its also very prudent to focus on schools where you will likely be accepted with those scores. If your dream schools come in for you, fine. But if not, you are not left in the dark.</p>
