Thank you for your responses!

honestly, most of the schools on your list are almost safeties… you don’t need any more safeties :)

Penn St. and Pitt are both matches.
George Washington is a reach at 1700 SAT and a match at 1900.
All the rest are safeties.

I’d throw Northeastern and American University into your list. Good safeties in the northeast (though I don’t really consider DC the “north” east).

Don’t bother with AU for prepharmacy - its an expensive school and sciences are not its strength. Rutgers could be a good safety, their pharmacy school is well regarded.

Here is a link to what they require for transfer from pre-pharmacy students but I think they do accept undergraduate students directly into their 6 year PharmD program.

Although I am not sure whether it is a safety for you, I can’t tell when you don’t break down your SAT score - the only two parts that count right now are CR & Math

A safety can only be a safety if you’re certain that it will be affordable.

How much will your parents pay each year?

Another school to consider is Samford U if your family will pay for your college costs. It has a 6 year pharm program I believe. Page Processing Error; And…they will let you complete the first 2 years elsewhere. My son’s GF is doing that.

However, if your parents will not pay for your college costs, then you need other safety schools.

Edited out the rant.

informative, do you have a non-rant version of your post?

On target for Temple & University of Phila.

An easy safety option is Penn State satellite – I believe it doesn’t require separate application, just list an “alternate” campus on the application form.

If you wish to enter into pharmacy, I think you have a solid list.

I’m guessing from the large amount of PA schools that you are a PA resident.

I’d suggest Community College as the “safety” plan because it will be (a) cost effcetive. (b) most of the schools on your list “auto” accept transfers with solid GPA (c) if you are interested in Pharmacy, a 2/4 option with the 2 years at community college is a more efficient plan than going to a 4 yr college and transferring. Just be sure to check out the pre-req. for 2/4 programs. Temple’s is easy to read and can be found here [TUSP Pharm.D. Program Prerequisites](http://www.temple.edu/pharmacy/programs/PharmD_prerequisites.html)
