I am a very rounded student first place science fair winner for both regional and state, I am the president of the science research class. I am a 4 year varisty soccer player and now caption. I have many achievements in science. I am a 4.0 GPA student I have had all “A” for most of my 4 years in high school, with the addition of some occasional “B’s”. But my only problem is I have a lower SAT score. I just took the October SAT and I felt confident, only to find out I did terrible. I feel like I am loosing hope in myself and I feel like I have failed in my life. PLEASE HELP ME, LET ME KNOW THAT I CAN GET INTO ONE OF THESE SCHOOLS. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE.
We dont know your chance if we don’t know how bad your score is
Is that 1240/1600? or 1240/2400? If it is the latter, I would say at UCF, FAU and USF would be out of reach. Why not attend a community college for 2-years and then transfer to one of the Florida 4-year universities? There is a disconnect between your GPA and SAT scores. Are you attending a “regular” high school in Florida? Have you tried the ACT or plan to?
If you’re looking at UCF’s Top Ten Knights (guaranteed admission for top 10% of Florida high schools) then the three-score SAT cut off is 1500. ACT is only 21 though, so perhaps you might want to take a quick ACT…?
USF’s probably off your radar, but FAU reportedly takes nearly anybody. Don’t know about FIT.
Edited: okay, so I had no idea what PBA was, and still managed to find Palm Beach Atlantic Common Data Set. (Google is your friend, Grasshopper!) Your SAT is below the 25th percentile from the looks of things.
