I am VERY interested in doing research from day 1. I might do the med thing but eh, I want research for now.
The choices I have are: USC, UCLA, BU, UIUC, UVA, UNC-CH in the states and UBC and UofT in canada
I’m an international student so i have absolutely no idea whether i’d prefer east or west coast and money is a slight issue.
I got into USC with 40k scholarship and BU with 20k if that helps.
HERE’S TO MY FIRST CC POST doesn’t raise glass because it’s illegal in dubai
bump it upp fellas
I don’t see how you can go wrong with any of those choices. USC and UCLA have the best weather, but I’d give UCLA the edge academically. BU has great research and internship opportunities in Boston. UNC-CH is in the heart of NC’s “Research Triangle,” a booming area for biomedical and tech activity. It’s a great campus and environment, too. UVA has one of the most beautiful campuses in the country, if not the world, designed by Thomas Jefferson. I don’t know enough about UIUC or your Canadian colleges to comment on them.
you only made things harder but thank you very much for your input! I appreciate it
Bump? anyone?
and add cornell to the list please
I thought you could afford Cornell.
And if you can’t afford Cornell, how will you pay for any of the UC’s?
Or is your thread on the financial aid section of this forum inaccurate?
How much does each cost?
A problem is that, if you wanted to do research “from day one”, you didn’t apply to the right schools. Unless you got honors college anywhere - did you?
