<p>I made my UT EID without knowing you automatically get one after you submit your application. </p>
<p>I just submitted my application few mins ago, and I'm kind of worried about the time it will take for me to get the "new UT EID". I need one as soon as possible to request Letter of recommendation to my counselor.</p>
<p>How long does it take to get your UT EID after you submit your application? Do they send it through email?</p>

<p>I accidentally did the same exact thing. Don’t worry, they both matched up and the fact I had “made” an extra one wasn’t a problem. And it took me probably about 3 days before I got my UT EID. If I were you, I would mail it in at this point rather than wait to do it on mystatus</p>
<p>And yes I got it through my email</p>
<p>I got one email confirming that my application was sent through apply texas and then ut admissions emailed me that night to let me know my uteid. It might take a day or two because so many applications are being processed right now. Best of luck :)! I would call admissions if you don’t get an email in the next couple of days.</p>

<p>So now the problem is… how long should i wait for UT EID to come?</p>
<p>I can either take the risk and wait for it to come until Friday morning, and ask my counselor to post it on mystatus, OR i can just straight up ask her to hand write them today or so that i can send it through mail on Thursday…</p>
<p>I did the same thing and I was able to merge the two accounts.</p>
