I am a PA resident. What are my chances of getting into the Summer Session?

hey i think you should be fine getting in, especially since you applied for the summer session and are an in-state resident. i'm sure if you improved your SATs that would add to your app. too.

im a freshman here and i know several kids that got into here with worse grades that were PA residents. you shouldnt have a problem at all, best of luck.

Penn State university not Penn, Im in state also, i dont see how I need a 1350/1600. PSU MAN12 or whatever said that he knows kids now who got admitted into the summer session with lower grades than me. i dont know if you realize that the SAT's arent as important anymore

By UP I meant University Park as opposed to a branch campus. The current admissions info lists an SAT midrange of 1740-1980 for University Park, 1470-1710 for the other campuses. Middle 50% GPA & SAT Range - Penn State Undergraduate Admissions
On the same page you can "Ask the Lion" if in-state and oos applications are treated differently. The answer is--" Admission requirements for out-of-state students are the same as those for in-state students."

it's not necessarily easier to get in through instate which is what you just said. theres just more instate because a lot more apply from PA than from anywhere else
