Please help me out. serious problem

I was initally scheduled to take the SAT's May 6th but am leaning against it and would like to to change my testing date to June 3rd. But on collegeboard, it states that I must make all necessary changes before 2 1/2 weeks of the the testing date. Now I was wondering if this was binding. Is there any way I can pay an extra small fee to switch my testing date to June? If not, what should I do? Just don't show up to the test and lose the 40 dollars and pay the late registration fee for the June test?(That's a lot of money)

please help me out guys....I seriously don't know what to do.

Here's what the College Board has to say.

If you are registered for a test and want to change the test center, test date, or which test you registered to take, call us no later than the Wednesday that is two-and-a-half weeks before the test date. You must speak with a customer service representative:

* Call (609) 771-7600 between 8 a.m. and 8:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, EST. Try to avoid the busiest day (Monday), the busiest hours (3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET), and registration deadline dates.
* The TTY number is (609) 882-4118, available any time.
* When you call, be ready to tell the customer service representative your registration number and test date, your social security number, and the credit card number and expiration date.

Fees

There is a $20 fee to change your test, test date, or test center (plus any adjustments for the test fees). A credit card--Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card--is required.
Changes

Test Date Change

If necessary, you can change your test date. Once the change is made, another Admission Ticket will be sent to you. If you miss the deadline for making a change, you can still try to make the change on the day of the test. Go early to the test center of your choice and explain the situation to the test supervisor. If space and materials are available, you will be admitted before standbys.

its possible I tried to.

but the problem is that there aren't any test centers available for me anymore.
so i refuse to change because i might be assigned to a center too far away.

you need to change the date first and pay before being assigned a test center
