I was initally scheduled to take the SAT's May 6th but am leaning against it and would like to to change my testing date to June 3rd. But on collegeboard, it states that I must make all necessary changes before 2 1/2 weeks of the the testing date. Now I was wondering if this was binding. Is there any way I can pay an extra small fee to switch my testing date to June? If not, what should I do? Just don't show up to the test and lose the 40 dollars and pay the late registration fee for the June test?(That's a lot of money)

please help me out guys....I seriously don't know what to do.

It's too late to "change" the test date. However, if you really want to take the test in June, you can sign up for the test, for an additional fee. The CB will gladly take your money. Even if it wasn't too late to "change" for June, CB would still charge you a fee for any change.

If you really don't want to take the May test, don't. If you don't show up, it's not reported. There is still time to sign up for the June test, with late registration. Yes, for another fee. I just checked at college board, & these are the dates:
June 3, 2006 SAT & Subject Tests
Apr. 28, 2006 Deadline for signup
May 10, 2006 Deadline for late signup

Its collegeboard- you will pay ridiculous amounts of money to do ANYTHING- there are no "small fees". I'm pretty sure at this point it would cost as much money to change the date as it would to register late. As long as you can afford it (and you have no other choice), you may as well take the test and, if it goes poorly, cancel your scores (this is actually free! :-P), and sign up for the test again under the hideously overpriced late registration.

I changed mine like less than a week before. I got pnemonia and couldnt move. I didnt have to pay the fee, but my mom stayed on the phone for a while. Possibly an option??
