Hi guys!

Here's the thing. I'm an international undergraduate freshman and I'm currently applying to several colleges in the US.

As I am filling out my applications, I noticed all colleges require a STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL PROOF/or CERTIFICATE OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY from international students.

What exactly are these financial proofs?
Where should I start?
What are the procedures?

PLEASE help me out here! I haven't got a clue.

Any response will be truly appreciated. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Quick and dirty – not an expert on this…Not sure where to get these forms – perhaps check with school’s directly or on their websites; however, in case you are looking for money, most US schools don’t give aid to international students and not eligible for any US govt. aid in general. So the form and related process is to determine whether your family can afford to send you to the school before they will consider your application…

Most schools should provide a link to the form. It is basically a form where you show all your parents and your own income and assets and show how you are going to pay for school. There is also a form you would have to complete as part of the student visa application process that shows how you are going to pay for school.
