I'm a CC student going into my 3rd year at a CC. I plan to apply this fall for transfer, I have a 2.53 GPA at the moment and it might go up to 2.7 by this fall. I'm afraid no school will let me transfer.......I have a 2.5 in all the psych courses I took.

Can anyone tell me what schools I should even bother to apply to? (In the state of CA) I'm applying this fall.
Which one's will take me in for sure? I'm thinking no where will take me.....No where at all.

Am I being paranoid?

How much will a kick ass essay make up for a low GPA?

I'm looking at applying to UCSB, UCR, UCI, CSUN, CSULA.

UC Riverside is a high reach. No chance at UCSB or UCI. Don’t know about the other to.

Try for Merced, though even that is a reach.

try for a community college. any other school is a reach.

I’m currently at a CC

What if I switch my Major to something less competitive like History? Will that help?

You should be fine. A ton of schools let you transfer as long as you have a 2.0.

May you give me some in CA that I check out?

Also didn’t mean UCI. I ment UCR.

Currently raised it to a 2.8!

According to UC stat finder I should have a chance.

91.7 percent admit rate in my current GPA for UCR.

As for UCM I have a 73.1 chance.

Compared to what you stated above.

Am I reading this info wrong?

Okay…Updated once more…

At a 2.98?

Any tips on what I should do from here?

I’m applying this fall.

You’ll be fine if you transfer to Northridge or CSULA.

New Update. For the Fall Semester I took 15 Units (5 Classes) Got all As. 4.00 Semester GPA. Overall 3.18 GPA. Applied to: Every UC Except for UCD, UCB, and UCSD.

Chance me now? I heard the UCs love improvement.

So far got one admissions letter. Admitted to UCR. Waiting on the rest…
