Please help me sort this out.

Ok, so I'm planning to do my under graduation from a UK uni. As we all know that UK undergrad is generally 3 years
(BA/BSc/BEng) and all. I want to do Post grad from a respected US uni (Ivies/UChic/UCs/Purdue/UMich etc etc etc). Do these US unis recognize 3 year undergrad UK qualifications ? Please help.. Please :-S :-<

Not only US … Add Canada and Australia as well … Thanks in advance Please help …

Yes. They do.

AFAIK Most US universities require 16 years of education for “graduate” studies.

<a href=“Graduate Admissions FAQs – MIT EECS”>http://www.eecs.mit.edu/academics-admissions/graduate-program/faqs#1</a>

@antialias: You’re wrong.
I quote from MIT’s website under who is eligible to apply.

Even Stanford has not stated anywhere that 16 years of education are required.

STRONG BUMP !!!

Hi dude! You can go for B.Eng which is of 4 years in the UK

Nope! BEng in UK takes 3 years. However, I should consider programs like BEng with Industrial placement or study abroad for an year. What do you suggest @mak1702

@Halamadrid9 Yes BEng with industrial placement would be good as you would be having work experience at the time you will apply to US graduate schools. It will be a plus point.
