Please help me STOP STRESSING! schedule...

Hey guys! So I'm a rising senior and as of now my schedule looks like this: AP French, AP English, AP Bio, AP Gov, and AP Calc BC. I took AP Chem last year which my teacher regarded as the hardest class we will take in High School. He was extremely demanding, and that was the only AP I took as a junior. So I would have 6 total.

I have two main concerns:
1. the fact that I'll be taking 5, along with doing apps and all that... i don't play any sports but i have dance rehearsals 2-3 times a week which takes up about 2 hours of my time during the night.
2. CALC AB OR CALC BC?!?! this is my main concern... the bc teacher is renowned for being very good but very tough... the joke is that he loves to give "surprise tests" ...not quizzes... tests lol I also do not know if I'm prepared well enough. I got really good grades all through trig but the class wasn't very hard to be honest. The SAT math doesn't seem to be my strong suit for some odd reason. very frustrating that i can excel in higher level math but not on the sat...

I plan on possibly majoring in the sciences and eventually becoming an occupational therapist. SO: what do you think?! calc ab or bc...

THANKS ahead of time!! :)

Did you take SAT math II? The math on the SAT I isn’t about how good you are at math, it’s about how many stupid mistakes you make. A bad score on that shouldn’t keep you from taking BC. (Also, was it actually bad, like, 500, or college confidential bad, like 780?)

AP Calc BC is AB plus a few other concepts. It shouldn’t be hard if you have already practiced on AB.

Also, your schedule has many “fun” AP’s. Depending on the person they can be a breeze if you really like them.

I’m not quite as worried about AP french and english… and I think I’ll be able to easily handle bio as well. Regarding calc, I have not had any “practice” with AB. Apparently it’s common to take AB before BC but based on the math curriculum at my school that was not a possibility (I just took Trig/Precalc as a junior last year and I have been on the “honors” track since middle school). Funnily enough, they have since reconstructed the math program and there are now freshman that come in taking Trig and in the future most students will be taking it as sophomores.

About the SAT math… 620… which I’m extremely disappointed with. I do think it’s a fluke since I have always been strong and performed well in math all throughout high school. I don’t know what it is about the SAT but it is not my friend haha I’m planning to retake it in October but who knows. Thank you to everybody for your input. I’ll most likely stick with BC mostly because even if I wanted to change it I couldn’t because we don’t have our schedules in hand yet and won’t until next week. That means I would have to drop it and switch in the first week of school and commit what is known as the “walk of shame” down the hall from BC to AB… LOL
