Hi everyone!
So my top and number one choice school is Boston College. I have been getting mixed answers from a lot of people and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they think my chances are for getting in!
Here are some of my stats…

SAT
M-690
CR-640
W-680

ACT
30

Extra Curriculars
Homecoming Committee Chair
Peer Helpers
Varsity Gymnastics
Debate Team
Tutoring
National Honor Society
Mu Alpha Theta

Work experience
I work at North Shore Gymnastics and have been working there for the past 3 years.

I have OUTSTANDING recommendations coming from my english/math chair and the director of guidance

Essay-VERY strong
GPA-4.1 (out of 5, weighted)
APs-I am taking 5 AP classes this year with previous ones under my belt

Dear nikkib191 : On a previous item posted from tabtab, we reviewed the virtually identical stats with similar extra curriculars, sports, but with music. What is interesting is that two successive posts on this BC thread illustrate how difficult is it to separate some of the applications between acceptance and rejection.

We have always wondered whether SAT balance (all upper 600s) was better than one or two 700s and a single lower 600. Interestingly, your SAT score of 30 matches identically with tabtab's score.

Your GPA does not appear to place you in the top ten percent of your class, a major factor in BC's attempt to equalize different GPA systems.

The weaker economy combined with the lack of scholarships might help your case for BC - only you know that. Unfortunately, I do not see your application to be any stronger than tabtab's - in fact, less strong in several areas. Ranking would be that your changes are around the 35% area.
