Please help me which CCC I choose

<p>Hello
I am international student and would like to get accept into UC Berkeley. I’m not able to pay the tuition fee of UC Berkeley and there are not available funds for international students. Therefore, I decide to go to a community college in California and then transfer to UC Berkeley.
There are a lot of community colleges and I have a lot of questions. I am trying to pick a community college that will best suite my future computer science degree, regarding my situation:
1. Does it matter which CC I choose for computer science major? If so, which one is much better to transfer?
2. Is there any CC which offers any scholarship or funding to the international students?
3. Which one is much cheaper? (Tuition Fee + Living Cost + Transportation)
4. If I can transfer to UC Berkeley, should I pay a lot of money as well as international freshman? (Does it matter whether I apply as a freshman or transfer?)</p>

<p>Totally, which CC is much better considering my future plan (computer science), and low budget.
Thank you very much.</p>

<p>Better coverage of prerequisite courses is better. See [Welcome</a> to ASSIST](<a href=“http://www.assist.org%5DWelcome”>http://www.assist.org) . A combination of Laney College and Diablo Valley College can cover all of the important CS 61A, 61B, 61C courses.</p>

<p>Doing the CC route risks not being admitted as a transfer (though you may be admitted to other schools as a transfer, depending mainly on your courses and grades at the CC), but the out-of-state tuition for the first two years at a CC is cheaper than for those two years at a UC. However, if you are a low budget international, you will still find the remaining two years at a UC to be expensive.</p>

<p>Thank you very much for the fast reply!
Yes, those colleges seem to be good for transfer. Also, ado you have any idea about Berkeley City College?
Best regards.</p>
