What do you guys think?????????????????????

mystic, where else are you applying??

well, i applied to dartmouth ED and got rejected, and so now i'm applying to rice, emory, vandy, washington in st. louis, northwestern, cornell, nyu. why?
i assume that you are also a senior in hs? where are you applying?

oh and i already got into my safety- rutgers

I'm applying to Duke, Vandy, Rice, UT Austin, and Arizona State (safety)

Got into ASU

And yeah I'm a senior in HS

sorry to hear about dartmouth, but don't sweat it, I'm sure you'll be happy where ever you go! Good luck! (oh and I only asked because I saw you posting on Rice)

The AP calc AB test wasn't that bad and the US Gov't test wasnt too bad. How's Chem going? I'm taking AP Chem, AP Lit, AP Physics C (EM and Kinematics), Band, Engineering Drawing, and Calc. II and III through The Ohio State University

^busygirl, that comment crosses the line. Racism will not be tolerated on this board. That remark is a living testimony of your true character. I hope you will be dealt with accordingly, both on CC as well as with college admissions. Hah, "those guys." You never cease to amaze me, busygirl.

I tend to agree with avant-garde. That has to be the MOST racist post I've seen on all of CC.

jrock: yeah, chem isn't bad. i really like it.
so what do you want to major in? and its ok abt dartmouth, a lot of ppl who applied there got rejections this year and so those are the breaks. i'm actually kind of excited abt potentially going to school in the south because i'm so used to the northeastern way of life. it should be interesting!

I live in the midwest, and trust me, it's not that exciting either! But the south looks good. I want to major in bme but that could change...u? (and if you already said this above, I appologize)<---nvm i saw what you're majoring in...haha

Yeah life in Nashville is pretty different from the midwest. i.e. it's totally acceptable to dress like a cowboy (at least in the city). And people dress up for football games. I guess I'm just a northerner, but I thought that was the strangest thing!

Yeah, I've been to Nashville a few times and you def. have that there! It's...to say the least, interesting...

i've never been to nashville,so i'm definately not sure what to expect.

mysticpizza - you will love Nashville. I visited a few months ago, and it totally surprised me. I'm an Asian-American, so naturally, the whole stereotype that Nashville carries of being a "country" town initially turned me off a bit. But from what I saw, the whole city was very cultured and close-knit. I'm from Atlanta and I love being in a huge city. Nashville gives you the big city environment (though of course not to the extent that an Atlanta or Chicago would give you) without the crazy traffic. The weather is awesome. The people are friendly. IMO, there were very few minorities both in the city as well as within Vandy. Atlanta has become so diverse in terms of racial boundaries that I almost expected Nashville to be exactly the same. But this does not bother me a bit. Nashville is a growing city, and I am convinced that with time, the city will turn into a colossal melting pot of its own. Nashville has a very rich music scene - it's NOT just country. The city, and of course the school itself, made a fantastic impression on me. I narrowed down my schools to Rice, Vanderbilt, and Washington University at St. Louis and Vandy keeps creeping up to the top of the list.

thanks avant-garde. i wish i could visit myself, but location obviosuly presents an obstacle. you're from atlanta, but you're not applying to emory. how come?

i just realized this thread got completely off topic and no one chanced me. :-(
