Hi everyone I am a student from China and I am currently filling out my 2012 applications.
Now I have a problem about picking out my safety schools. A LAC would be my first choice for safety but I don't really know anything about LACs.
my favorite majors are: media, film studies, mass media, communication, film production

I am aware that not every LAC offer these majors but if the LAC is really good at art or not a MIT type of school is OK.

Financial Aid is preferred(For international students is pretty hard)))

i already have :Bard College, Bowdoin College, Hamilton College on my list

For safety schools, they must be easier(compare to other TOP LACS) to get in for INTERNATIONAL students, good FA....

IF u know any LACs that will fit my criterion please post reply or email me at mofei4yaoyao @ yahoo .com for further discussion.

Thanks bunches
wish u'all have a wonderful day.

The problem with giving you any recommendations is that financial aid for international students is VERY hard to come by–you are competing for not a lot of aid against some of the smartest/most talented students in the world. Without knowing your stats, it is impossible to determine if you have even the slightest possibility of getting any significant aid. Your best bet is to first find schools that offer aid to international students and then ask us to help you choose between them for your applications based on your interests and stats. Good luck!

I’ll throw out Evergreen State College here in Olympia, WA. It is affordable as colleges go and friendly to internationals. Matt Groenig of Simpsons fame is a graduate. Communications is a strong area.

There is a book “Colleges that change lives” that might be a good read for you. It mentions about two dozen colleges that are smaller but very meaningful to many students.
Good luck.
