please help me with suggestions!

I don’t really have a good list of colleges so far and don’t know where to start exactly. Can anyone give me some college suggestions based on my stats? Also, does anyone have any thoughts on how “bad” my 3.5 unweighted gpa will look when applying to some more selective schools, especially when my weighted also isn’t on par.

UW GPA: 3.5
W GPA: 3.75
ACT: 32 (retaking in fall hoping for 33+)
First gen college if that matters much
EC’s are decent played two sports, volunteered total of 100 hours with 50 at a political campaign office, head of a club(significant or not idk), worked last 2 summers and babysat during school year

I’m an Illinois resident but my parents are willing to send me wherever.

Money isn’t a huge deal but obviously they wouldn’t like to spend 60k per year

Do you have a career goal? Particular subjects you like and are good at?

Home state? Big schools or little schools?

Why not use the college selector app on this site? The are a lot a variables to select for that go into making a list.

I want to study engineering don’t know what area undergrad and eventually law school. Home state is illinois but outside of U of I’s very selective engineering program I don’t see myself staying in state if possible. A small school doesnt bother me unless we’re talking small high school numbers. I’ve used the super search app but it seems to give me schools I’m overqualified for act wise. Thanks!

We need to know your preferences in order to give you suggestions! If you don’t know where to start, there’s a lot you can think about (size, location, setting, general vibe, etc)

I’d prefer warm weather but cold weather won’t be the end of the world coming from Chicago winters. A good social scene is important to me as well as a good academic program of course.

What were some of the better search matches?

Ask your parents how much they will pay. There are a good number of $60k schools.
