Please help me....

So I've heard back from Binghamton, they want my midterm grade report. My friend who applied after me just got accepted. What this means to me is that they haven't rejected me yet, but they're giving me another chance to "prove" myself. Am I utterly wrong?

Another friend told me that it means that they've accepted me but my admission is contingent of my upwards trend on GPA (2.67 -> 3.6). I'm also expecting a 3.7+ this semester. I hope he isn't giving me false hope...

Here's the tricky part. My University does not give mid term grades, they only give freshman mid-term grades to track their progress. I do not know why they don't do this for the other classes, but now I have no way of proving to Binghamton that I am a worthy candidate. I was wondering if I can send them letters from my professors about my current standing in class.

As always, thank you for reading & any advice!

Call and ask Binghamton what they want in lieu of midterm grades.

If Binghamton uses the common app, there is the midterm grade report. A few of my schools wanted them last semester, and I just went to each professor, asked him/her for a grade, had him/her sign the form, and sent it in.

Found the PDF file on binghamtons website. I’m expecting mostly A’s this semester, so I should be “okay”. On another note, I’m currently applying as a undecided, which means I’m applying for admission into Harpur which is the College of Arts and Sciences. My true goal is to get into The School of Management for either accounting or finance; I’m currently studying accounting. However, I’ve heard that a internal transfer into the School of Management is very difficult, some say they don’t even look at your application unless you’ve previously applied for SOM. Lastly, I’ve heard of people from community colleges with 3.5-3.7’s get accepted into SOM, as opposed to a 3.6 student in Harpur. With that in mind, what do you guys think I should do? Grind it out at my current university and bring my GPA even higher and attempt to transfer to SOM for Fall 2012?

can anyone help?

can anyone help?

This is one of those toss up questions. No one here knows. You need to talk to people who have more inside info or more experience with those particular admissions.
