Please Help Me :(

Hey guys, so basically I went to public school from pre-k until 9th grade. (I was in the gifted and talented program.) Anyway, Sophomore year I was accepted to study abroad in Taipei, Taiwan with Rotary Youth Exchange. When I came home my local high school wouldn't accept my credits, so I decided to homeschool. I was just wondering if it will be hard for me to get accepted to my top schools, (NYU, USC, UCLA) I have a 3.7 GPA, dual credit classes, lots of community service, fluent in 3 major languages, am very well rounded, etc. How difficult will it be to get accepted? I am so worried, :( Help!

I’m sure with your stats and ECs that having been homeschooled shouldn’t really have too much of an effect as long as you do well on standardized tests and have some good recc letters from people other than your parents.

3.7’s a solid GPA, and being fluent in 3 major languages is really impressive. NYU will love that for sure, and USC recognizes potential. Best of luck!

A student in my son’s FIRST Robotics club (club was based at the high school but open to anyone) was homeschooled and got into all 5 UC’s he applied to (including UCLA and Berkeley) and is attending Berkeley as a Regents Scholar. Excellent test scores of course and unusual ec’s (classical Spanish guitar). Of course, UC’s don’t require letters of recommendation.
