Please Help Me

In October 2013 I took the ACT Plus Writing and scored a 29 composite and a 10 on the essay. I wanted to increase my composite score, but was satisfied with my writing score, so this September I took the ACT without writing. I received a composite score of 32, which I am thrilled about.

Unfortunately, the UC Application online requires that I submit a writing score for my ACT. But because my 10 on the writing portion is not attached to my 32, what am I supposed to do!?!??!

I plan to submit both scores when I apply to UCSB so they can see that I actually did take the writing portion. I'm just unsure how to present this information for the online portion.

Please help... I'm worried that my attempt to save money has been my downfall and all my hard work has gone to waste

Call the admissions office and ask? As I recall, the UC application asks you to report your highest ACT/SAT score, and so if writing is required, you will have to report the ACT with writing sitting, as the other is unusable. But call and confirm, it will not negatively impact your application.
