Please help me

Here is the situation of a very talented guy who immigrated to Canada from India just three months before graduating from High School. After coming
to Canada he went to a local high school. But he could not bear the stress of having to start Grade 12 all over again and study with younger classmates. So he dropped out of high school. Then he applied to a local community college and got accepted as a mature student. He will start college this fall.He will have to take some upgrading courses in English and Maths along with the core courses. He is planning to transfer to one of the top 40 american universities for computer science degree with business administration minor after two or three years in cc.

But he does not know if he will be able to transfer to university or not. Is it possible for him to transfer from cc to uc without high school diploma considering he maintains a good GPA. OR is it absolutely compulsory to have a high school diploma to be able to transfer from cc to uc. How big a role does a HS diploma play for transferring to uc after 2 or 3 successful years in cc?

Now he thinks that he made a big mistake by dropping out of high school. He is very stressed and confused. He can not decide whether he should go to cc without the HS diploma or go to Adult school, earn his high school equivalency diploma and then go to cc.He is almost 20 years old now. What would be your suggestion - earn HS diploma or go to cc directly?

Also what sort of courses should he take in cc for computer science major with business administration minor?

Your advice would really be helpful.
