<p>I am trying to self study for AP BIO and AP CALC BC for my last 3 months at high school.</p>
<p>I asked my counselor if i can take the AP Exam without taking AP class at my school, and </p>
<p>she flatout said no. According to her, she said it will bring confusion to the school. w t f </p>
<p>Now, I am trying to ask students who self studied AP Exams and took the exam out of school.</p>
<p>Where did you guys take it? Another High School or community college?</p>

<p>I self-studied exams and took them at my high school. For micro, it was a given that macro students could willingly self-study it since the school did not offer the course and there was no problem there; I just took it with a bunch of other self-studying kids. Bio was harder; I had to go talk to the AP Bio teacher, convince him that I had a good chance of at least getting a 3, tell him why I wanted to take the exam, and then he went and talked to the people at the office for me and got them to write my name in the list of people taking the bio exam. So I just showed up and took it like the kids who had been at the class.</p>
