PLEASE HELP...my life is depended on this...

For Stanford's teacher evaluation, it says that teacher rec must come from teachers of two DIFFERENT subject areas....but my two recs are from bio and chem. But the thing is those two are the teachers who know me best. Now what? I've already submitted everything on 30 Oct cuz i'm an early applicant. Do you think this will affect my chances?

Call the admissions office and find out. But it doesn’t seem like there’s anything you could do at this point. Really, though, I don’t think it’ll make that much of a difference.

anymore responses?

Stanford office said for teacher’rec is out of student control, so they may give some reasonable delay time.

  1. call stanford to request teacher change
  2. get another rec from English/social study teacher
Not sure if it gonna help
    good luck

If it is so important to you, why didn’t you follow instructions? They don’t ask for the two who know you best, they ask for two different areas.

I would explain the situation to a teacher at your school who you want to ask for that required reccomendation. Have that teacher send in the rec. Then Stanford will just have one extra rec. So they will use the English (or whatever) teacher’s req plus one of the others. Or if you are lucky, they will read all 3. They likely have not started reading your application yet, so get right on it.

^^^^ haha cold

Would a Calculus teacher and Science/club sponsor be considered as two teachers of two different subjects?

A club sponsor isn’t a teacher, they don’t know you in the classroom.

I agree with Brown parent. Send in the third for English or something, because you need to be able to follow directions, and maybe they will read all 3.
