please someone can help me, I am the new transfer student too, I got the admission withdraw letter by admission office bc they did not receive my oversea transcript, but I've confirm with the school in Taiwan, they did send my transcript directly to ucsd with the correct addes, don't know why still not receive, and there is no way if ucsd did not receive, at least my school in Taiwan will get the letter back, but it's been two month already. ucsd claim they receive two of my high school transcript, but i only apply one, i strong believe ucsd has wrong record on transcript receive. otherwise i will find out on the checklist before deadline. but they did not even notice me. and just cancel my admission, I try very hard to talk to admission officer, they won't listen to u but just ask u to write the appeal letter. I am really sad now, bc I've work very hard for getting UCSD as an international student. also, i went to uc davis extension for summer 2007, a short language class, but it is not creditable, and even not a regular college class, so i did not submit the transcript bc there is even not have one. and ucsd insist uc davis is a university, no matter what course i took there, i must have a transcript. so i called to ucd try to make up one. therefore i am short of two documents to complete my requirement. I will try very hard to appeal, explain why i missing there two documents and the school in taiwan will prove for me i did apply the transcript and mailed before dealin, but it might missing during the international mail. is anyone know my chance to get the admission back.... any suggestion?

Hi Linda, there is another thread here on college confidential created by other people that got their admission rescinded. I also got my admission rescinded, and when I spoke to one of the admissions officer he said that they rescinded 300 people for not submitting transcripts. I am appealing and you should too! If you have the receipt that you paid for your transcripts from Taiwan, then it is not your fault UCSD didn’t receive them, and you obviously have no control over the mail system. Remember transcripts had to be postmarked by July 15, so if you have the receipt that you ordered the transcript and they were postmarked before the deadline you should be just fine; send a copy of the receipt and another copy of the transcripts.

I feel the same way, it is very unfair, they should have notified all individuals that they were at risk of being rescinded and they should have been given the opportuniy to fix the problem. A sudden cancellation is unfair…Don’t give up, I am not giving up because it is unfair.

Keep us posted on everything and I wish you the best of luck…you are not alone!
