I'm going to have to disagree with you. Although Cornell is an ivy-league institution, its RD acceptance rate is only around 30%, much higher than WUSTL at around 20%.</p>
<p>but, WUSTL you have to realize gives out MERIT MONEY like water, and its not like a big deal to get like 20,000 from them in merit money. In addition, the ap is a JOKE and the worst kids in my school applied b/c of it. It is just the common ap essay and that is it. That 20 percent rate is VERY MISLEADING. You have so many UNSERIOUS ppl applying.</p>
<p>Yeah, look at the average stats + the merit aid issue + the way they fish through the waitlist and I can assure you Cornell is more selective.</p>
<p>well in the last 3 years, WUSTL claims that its SAT average has shot up by 80 pts, is that possible?</p>
<p>Cornell's acceptance rate was around 26%, not 30%.</p>
<p>On CB it says 29%.</p>
