Hi everyone. I currently am enrolled at my state university's honors program. I originally went there because I couldn't make up my mind (didn't get into any of my top choices), and decided not to waste my mom's money at a private school when I had no idea what I wanted. At first I thought I wanted to transfer, then I didn't, now, after a lot of thought, I seriously want to try and transfer for spring semester 06.

Basically, my biggest gripe about my school is the people. I went to boarding school, and I thought I would find similar students through the honors program. However, my experience has been somewhat negative - I consistently encounter somewhat shallow people who really have no desire to discuss anything other than the latest drunken hook up.

I like to party as much as the next person, but I would like to talk about something else. Basically, I'm looking for a smaller school (no more than 10,000 kids, preferably in the 2,000-4,000 range), with a more cohesive campus feel, preferrably an active Greek system, and with a fun social life that isn't entirely overwhelming. I've already lived away from home and learned how to entertain myself. Parties are great, but I'd like to make mix it up a bit. Also, I don't want to have to travel halfway across the country - PA, MD, DE, NJ, NY, and VA are the states I'm most interested in. Urban, rural - whatever. I'm most concerned with the student body at whatever schools.

To give you an idea, I'm looking into Lehigh, Lafayette, Washington and Lee, William and Mary, Bucknell and Dickinson. Any other ideas or thoughts are appreciated.
