<p>I use the factor botton but for these problems it is not working. Also What about Solution factoring problems such as 4x^3+6x=14x^2</p>

<p>for the other one, subtract 14x^2 from both sides, then factor.</p>
<p>gricklegrick is correct. You must type in the second term as x*y or the calculator will see it as the variable "xy" rather than as the product of variables x and y.</p>
