Please help out stressed student!

Hi everyone, so I am a junior (international) planning to apply to Ivy Leagues,(+safety schools and such). I have taken SATs twice:

Jan: 2250: CR: 730 M: 800 W: 720 with 10 essay

I got the same score when I took it as a sophomore, which means that my score didn't improve at all =(

My superscore is 2290.

Basically, my parents think that it's futile for me to apply to the top Ivies, since they believe that this score is not even worth sending. It's bad too, since I have no international awards, super athlete status, or anything EXTREMELY exceptional.

My family isn't that wealthy either, so they would not send me to the States unless the school provides enough financial aid. Do you have any college list suggestions (that would be generous in financial aid), and insight on how my score will affect me? Would top Ivies consider superscores?

Thanks!

All the ivies (and every school in the US, basically…) superscores. Your 2290 is more than good enough for the ivy league, what matters more is your school record, extracurriculars, essays, and recommendations. Ivy league schools turn down tons of kids with higher SATs than you and accept tons of kids with lower scores too.

Generally, the Ivy league is also very generous with financial aid. I know for a fact that Princeton and Harvard will basically pay for you to go to school there if your income is low enough.

The SAT should be the last of your worries, honestly. Good luck!
