I was rejected as a Psychology Transfer yesterday by Cal, but I have been accepted everywhere else.

I live in Los Angeles, and UCLA has always been my dream school. Fortunately, I was accepted.

The thing is... over these past two months, I have really fallen in love with the idea of going to Cal, and was mildly crushed after being rejected from there yesterday! :(

What drew me to Cal included the change of environment compared to Los Angeles, the dorm-life I would experience, as well as the prestige and the fact that it's better for Psychology.

*Attending UCLA, I would probably seek out an apartment rather than a dorm since i've lived in Los Angeles all my life. Would this mean I wouldn't be able to experience the same college lifestyle I would have experienced living in a dorm at Cal?

Also, I may be accepted into a Paid Internship Scholarship Program at UC Berkeley for Neuroscience Lab Research this Summer, which is given to 1st Generation College Students.

*My question is - If I were to get accepted into this internship program would this be grounds for an Appeal to Cal? Since i'd be living there over summer and participating with their neuroscience researchers? I'd also be able to get a kick-ass letter of recommendation from my Physio-Psych professor at my CCC.

Any thoughts would be great!!! :)
