I am extremely nervous right now... My other grades are fine, but my english teacher gives me a C+ in my final grade, and I still do not know why. I thought Ii did fine in the final exam... Will MIT rescind my admission? Or will the admission office send me a warning letter? I am still trying to contact my english teacher, but he has not responded yet. What should I do right now?

I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine.

So I won’t be put on academic probation or something like that?

No. You’ll be fine.

Rescinding is typically an issue with D’s and F’s, or maybe many C’s. I don’t think you’ll even get a stern letter.

On my last semester of high school I had straight A’s except for a C in history. It never came up. Don’t worry!

Thanks guys!

Here’s a great CC discussion on this topic:
