PLEASE HELP! Three great but different options, no decision!

okay its down to the wire on the may 1st deadline and im changing my mind everyday. i am between georgetown, uva, and schreyer's honors college at penn state. i am an undecided major (liberal arts for all). how do i choose? which is best? PLEASE HELP WITH ANY IMPUT THANK YOU!

They’re all good, so rest assured that you can’t go wrong with any of those schools. That said, you really need to decide which one is the best for you, thinking through things like:

 • How much in loans you’ll owe after graduation with each one
 • Which campus environment suits you best
 • Which school location suits you best

And so on.

Sometimes, it can help to write stuff down. Do a pro/cons list for each school. See which one has the pros that are the most important to you, and that’s the one you pick. For example, for some students, keeping the cost as low as possible is their #1 requirement, and that will determine which school they pick. For others, they’d prefer the school to be smallish, or etc. Figure out what’s important to you. Write stuff down, and that may help you think it through.

And remember, as I said, they’re all good schools. You can’t pick wrong, so don’t let that aspect of the decision stress you out. Just do your best to pick the one that you think is best for you. And don’t be afraid to listen to your “gut” on that one. If you feel Georgetown is best for you, but you can’t quite put your finger on why, then that’s fine - you’re probably right, and it is best for you.

If you really can’t decide after all other considerations, go for the cheapest.

What will your out-of-pocket costs be at each?
