By when do I need to report USC/UMich/GT as my first choice for national merit? By the application deadline or later? Can I put undecided down on the application now and change it later?

You’re best off leaving it undecided. If you are accepted to USC and want to attend, you name them as your first choice. I believe you have until May to do so.

UMich has no scholarship for NMF. You don’t even need to name it as your first choice.

NMSC begins notifying colleges on March 1 so if you get your first choice updated before then you should be fine. You do have till May but you don’t want to be left out of the money pool so get that choice in before March 1.

I don’t think GT offered scholarships for NMF either.
