I'm a Biology major who Tag'd to UCSC, I dropped Calc 2 and I was wondering if that means an automatic void even if I plan to take it again in the spring. Calc 2 is a pre-req for my major, but it's not required for transfer.

I tried calling UCSC but they just kept forwarding me to their automated responder and won't give me an actual person to talk to. They are also not responding to any of my emails. This forum is my last hope for information.

You should be find, just make sure you update this change on your application. If you cannot get ahold of anyone at UCSC, talk to your cc counselor or someone in the transfer center at your school.

Do you change it by Nov 30? Or update this in January when they give the update form? Emailed UCI about the same thing but they didn’t give me an exact answer. They just told me in January they’ll be sending something out to update changes

I got a reply back from the email. You will need to include this information in the additional comments section of your application. The application is considered an update of your TAG. You just need to submit it by the November 30th deadline. Don’t wait until January to update it.

Okay just to make sure, right now the course is IP (in progress) in the UC app. I would just set it as Withdraw on the UC application right? Regardless of whatever is on TAG?

Tag and Uc applications don’t have to match up exactly except for the major right?

Yes, whatever is on the UC application is what they will go with in making their final decision. If you put dropped the class and you put W on your UC app, you’ll be fine
