<p>Hey people tell me if out of the $47000 per annum for Stanford University (or other need aware colleges) I tell them that I can pay like $17000 then will that improve my chances at Stanford (or other need aware place).</p>
<p>Actually can anyone tell me where one can put down how much they can pay when contacting need-aware colleges other than Stanford. (because Stanford has a distinct section in the application where one can write the amount of contribution they are willing to make)</p>
<p>I'm assuming that you're an international student. In that case, Stanford admissions is not need-blind. Unfortunately, I've heard that if you can't pay the full amount, your chances as an international applicant are greatly diminished. I'm not sure if your chances correlate linearly with how much you're able to pay, but I know for a fact that it's extremely difficult to get in as an international who needs financial aid, no matter the amount.</p>
