Please ! Help with Major !

<p>Hi, I've posted here about two weeks ago, but no one gave me the answer I was looking for :(. So I took time to look up all the departments at UVA, and guess what- I found the department I was looking for.
The sad thing is, I have no clue what the relative term- department means at <a href="http://www.virginia.edu/depts.html%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://www.virginia.edu/depts.html&lt;/a> . The major I was searching for was Public Health. On the application, it doesn't seem to exist..
So how do I apply to the department of public health? Is it sort of like- the school of nursing, engineering, arts and sciences, etc? Is it exclusively for graduate students? Please, someone define 'department' and provide me an accurate answer this time :D</p>

<p>If public health is not offered in UVA, is there any majors similar to it? Such as epidemiology..</p>

<p>I don't think there is an undergrad Public Health program. As far as majors similar to it, there aren't any that I can think of right now.</p>
